*City of Charleston Presents A Labor Day Celebration Featuring The Charleston Symphony At Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Ballpark*
The City of Charleston is thrilled to continue its celebration of the arts with a special free-to-attend Labor Day concert at “The Joe” – home of the Charleston RiverDogs.
Joining the Charleston Symphony is special guest artist, Manny Houston. The concert will be followed by fireworks, generously supported by The Charleston Place.
The CSO will perform a program featuring music by John Williams, Duke Ellington, and many other pops favorites! Manny Houston will perform a selection of popular songs and Broadway showtunes, as well as a special Gershwin performance with Mayor Tecklenburg.
The event is free to attend, but tickets must be reserved in advance.
Gates will open at 6pm with concessions available from the RiverDogs hospitality team.

*Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience Extended Through September 25*
Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, an internationally-acclaimed Vincent Van Gogh multimedia exhibit that has sold more than 3 million tickets globally, has extended its stay at the Charleston Area Convention Center through September 25. The traveling exhibit was originally scheduled to leave the Lowcountry after its final event on September 4, but has announced it will stay in Charleston for an additional three weeks due to its high attendance and popularity. Tickets are available for purchase now online.
Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is the largest immersive exhibit in the country and features more than 300 pieces by the world-renowned artist, including “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers” and “Café Terrace at Night.” As attendees explore the 30,000-square-foot exhibit, they also get to hear Van Gogh’s dreams, thoughts and words set to a symphonic score, creating an unmatched narrative experience.
