Benedict's Gomez Named To Women's Tennis Academic All-District Team

Benedict College's Sofia Gomez has been named to the 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators.

Gomez, a senior, recently earned first-team All-SIAC honors after going 12-2 during the regular season, primarily as Benedict's No. 3 singles player. In 2022, she earned All-SIAC honors as a doubles player. She was a key player in Benedict's back-to-back SIAC championship teams.

The Academic All-District® teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
